ABOUT US

The Sunalta School Community Welcomes Refugees is a community group applying to sponsor a refugee family.  We were formed by parents, kids and members of the Scarboro Community.  We are mobilizing the community to put together an application, raise $30,000 to financially support a family, and provide settlement assistance once they arrive.

 

Sunalta School Community Welcomes Refugees is linked to Schools Welcome Refugees and its 1000 Schools Challenge, which provides support to other schools taking on the same initiative.  There are tools and resources available on the Schools Welcome Refugees website to inspire, encourage, and assist other school communities to join the challenge.  Please share the Schools Welcome Refugees website with families you know anywhere across Canada.
